David Whitworth from the Huddersfield Film Makers Club showed us some of his early cine films lovingly copied to digital tape complete with some much improved audio from original tape recordings made at the time.

He gave an informative talk about his life with film cameras and produced a few of the cameras complete with receipts!

The films, about 10 in total, were from the late 60's and early 70's and included some early educational films he had made for the Yorkshire Electricity Board as well as some holiday and baby films and even the odd fiction film. The highlight was his Worth Valley Railway film with some lovely tracking shots which earned him a 10 best trophy in the early seventies as one of the top 10 amateur films of the year (a forerunner of the BIAFF).

The films were a fantastic glimpse back in time and a pointer to his current high standard of video work.
