Kinsley, Saturday 26th August 2006
TRIAL 10, 1st of 3 at 270M,Becky beats Toffee in a trial and records a time of 16.64. More importantly she returned sound. The plan is to give her one more trial before declaring her ready for racing.

Kinsley, Sunday 21st May 2006,

Kinsley, Tuesday 16th January 2007,
TRIAL 17, 3rd of 3 at 465M, Not a bad time of 29.57 all things considered.

Kinsley, Friday 15th December 2006,
TRIAL 14, 1st of 1 at 270M, Because Toffee had been "bouncing" in the kennels she was given a solo trial to give her some exercise and see how her paw held up. She didn't exactly move like Shakira, but it's given a little bit of optimism for 2007.

Kinsley, Tuesday 12th September 2006,
Race 10, 5th, Toffee was so excited to be running for the first time for nearly 4 months that she pulled Colin over during the pre-race parade. As usual she gave everything, but with her paw once again bleeding after the race Toffee will now be retired. She's likely to be used for breeding in the future, but for now she's earned a rest.

Kinsley, Saturday 26th August 2006
TRIAL 10, 2nd of 3 at 270M,Toffee finishes 2nd to Becky in a 3 dog trial in a very respectable time of 17.04. She was a bit sore after the race, but her pad stood up well to the run. There's a possibility she could run in a race on her 4th birthday and Colin's 40 something birthday on Saturday 2nd September.

Kinsley, Tuesday 25th July 2006,
TRIAL 13, 1st of 1 at 270M, After a long rest to let her injury recover she ran a respectable time. The cut in her paw opened up again but after an operation the vet is optmistic she'll be able to run again before the end of August.

Race 10, 1st, Toffee ran her heart out as she took the lead at the first bend and held off all challengers. On Gus's birthday as well. The win was even more amazing as at the end of the race her cut pad had opened up again and required stapling and bandaging. It'll be 10 days now before the bandages are removed.

Kinsley, Friday 21st April 2006,
Race 6, 3rd, Returning to Kinsley race for trainers Colin and Diane. Toffee actually led until the run in, but it's now 18 races without a win. She's likely to be rested for a while to let her foot fully recover.

Kinsley, Saturday 15th April 2006,
Race 13, 22:35, Trap 1 Yes, Trap 1!
Race 13, 2nd, A brave race by Toffee to run on for second place as she had a nasty cut pad at the end of the race. Reunited with Colin and Diane after the race she'll now be trained by them at their Morley kennels, one year after her first win for them.

Race 6, 6th, Favourite, Clear run, No joy.

Kinsley, Saturday 11th February 2006,
Race 6, 20:50, Trap 3
Race 6, 4th, Disappointing. No excuses. Toffee's still not quite ready. No extra birthday money for Robs driving lessons and it looks like it's shopping at Netto for a while.

Kinsley, Saturday 4th February 2006,
Race 6, 20:50, Trap 2
Race 6, 4th, Slow away, bumped on the last bend, yet only just beaten in a 5 dog photo and led just after the line. Looks like the money will be down in Toffee's next race... and Rob will be old enough to join in the gamble !! Roll on Saturday 11th.

Race 13, 1st, Quick Away.Another win and another of life's puzzles. Why do people say well done to Gus when Toffee wins? Exactly what part does he play in the successes? Putting his pint down and patting Toffee on the head doesn't seem worth a well done !
